A Dunbar lad and his dad have come across a giant pine cone the size of the child’s face on Belhaven beach in East Lothian.
River Holt, 22 months, and his father Adam Holt, from East Lothian, were out walking on Friday February 25 when River saw the top of the pine cone sticking out from the sand.

Unfortunately, dinosaur enthusiast River was not able to pull the monster cone out by himself and called on his father to help him retrieve it.
The pair were so blown away by their discovery that they took to the local Facebook group Dunbar Online to see if anyone could tell them where the pine cone came from.
