A 32-year-old man has been charged with terrorism offences shortly after arriving into Heathrow Airport.
Shafi Saleem, of east London, was arrested by Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command on Tuesday after arriving into the UK on a flight from Pakistan.
He was taken to a south London police station, and later charged with dissemination of terrorist publication, “breach of a part 4 notification requirement under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008”, and an offence under section 4A of the Public Order Act 1986.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
