East Kilbride YM have confirmed funeral details for stalwart Les Goodfellow on Monday, October 10.
Described by the club as 'Mr YM', Goodfellow was a player for the town's oldest club, a committee member and past president.
Les, who was also a former president and life member of the Caledonian Amateur Football League, was 78 when he suddenly passed away on September 14.
EKYM have confirmed that Mr Goodfellow's funeral will take place at the West Kirk Church at 11am, followed by a service at South Lanarkshire Crematorium at 12pm, and on to the British Legion at 1pm for his wake.
Mr Goodfellow was a mainstay of the club for over 60 years and in 2007 was presented with Services to Sport award from the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils at the East Kilbride Sports Personality of the Year awards.
