A top high street retailer has used an unlikely location for their latest campaign leaving locals scratching their heads.
Footasylum released images for their store featuring models posing in the Westwood Square in East Kilbride. The clothing brand picked the Lanarkshire spot for their winter collection much to the amusement of local residents.
The models are pictured on a bench within the shopping area outside a recently closed Chinese restaurant, the Marlboro. The shots have left residents baffled, but also slightly proud to see their local shops in the spotlight, reports Lanarkshire Live.

One local said: "The Marlboro Chinese, a staple of my childhood birthdays in Westwood. Now location of fashion shoots."
Another person shocked to see the Westwood used added: "I am so very confused. Westwood. Why?!?!?!?!!"
A third laughed: "Wait a minute, that's the Westwood Square in East Kilbride", while a fourth remarked on the popular restaurant pictured: "Best Chinese in EK".
One person stated East Kilbride probably wasn't the worst place to launch a collection of winter clothing: "To be fair, if there ever was a place where you'll need a winter jacket. it's East Kilbride!"
The pictures of the local shopping precinct have been shared hundreds of times in recent days after the clothing range was launched.
Local chip shop Mr Chipz can also be seen in the background as the models don their winter jackets. Some have commented that it's not bad publicity for the takeaway!
The Westwood Square has come under criticism within the last 12 months as local councillors called for owners to make the area "more welcoming and clean".
Concerns have been raised over the shopping area becoming rundown with numerous potholes gaping all over the car park, and issues over littering have also disgruntled many locals.
But after seeing Footasylum use the square for their most recent fashion backdrop, some people are more optimistic about the area.
A resident who neighbours the Westwood Square told us: "I had to do a double take to see if it was real at first. I thought it was just somewhere that looked like the Westwood but apparently not.
"I've seen pretty much everyone from East Kilbride share it on Facebook and Instagram now so if it was a publicity stunt from then they have done a good job.
"I think everyone just wants to know why they used the Westwood Square of all places, which isn't exactly a nice area. They could've chosen somewhere nicer."
Another local took to social media to share their amusement of the photo shoot, adding: "As someone who grew up in the Westwood and passed through the square daily coming home from Duncanrig I find this hilarious."
Meanwhile, another joked: "Westwood, just missing a bottle of Bucky."
Others remarked on the rundown area with one saying: "Could a picked a better place than Westwood square".
"Must have picked up all the litter", told an East Kilbride local.
Footasylum was contacted repeatedly for a comment as to why they chose East Kilbride for the shoot but declined the offer.
