Spring has finally sprung, and with a flurry of Bank Holidays to look forward to in the coming months, now is the time to start planning how best to spend those blissful long weekends. Those seeking an excursion that combines a bit of exercise with quite a few libations will be pleased to hear that the East Bristol Brewery Trail has announced it will return for the May Bank holiday.
Running on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30, the trail stretches from Arbor Ales in Easton to Little Martha Brewing just behind Bristol Temple Meads. Encompassing seven of the city's independent breweries, the trail is roughly two miles long and would take around 45 minutes to walk without stopping; however, with each spot laying on something special as part of the festivities, it could well take the whole weekend.
During the craft beer extravaganza, the Left Handed Giant taproom in St Phillips will be open from noon until late on both days, with DJs and food from Los Hermanos and Mr Noodle on site. Nearby, Good Chemistry Brewing also has a food pairing with the Cheese Guys from Two Belly, serving farmhouse cheese toasties, raclette fries and bar snacks.

Arbour Ales has also confirmed it will be offering specials, with DJs, food traders and "all the trimmings" for the Bank Holiday weekend, as has its close neighbour Dawkins Ales which said there will be "brand new brews, excellent food, and cracking entertainment from some of our favourite Bristolians".
Wiper and True, Moor Beer, and Little Martha are all also taking part, with the latter pouring from 12pm to 10pm on Saturday and 12pm to 8pm on Sunday. The East Bristol Brewery Trail website has a map of those taking part available, or you can plan your route using Bristol Live's Google map.
