Volunteers at the East Belfast Mission have made sure no one went lonely on Christmas.
Staff who work at the site, on the Lower Newtownards Road, laid on a festive feast for a number of locals today.
The turkey dinner was just one of many made by volunteers across Northern Ireland to ensure no one missed out one the festive cheer most of us take for granted,
Locals from all over the Newtownards Road enjoyed the five course dinner earlier this afternoon.
Sandie Gallgher, who coordinated today’s dinner, said the event was a “real joy”.
She added: “It’s not right that people should be alone on Christmas Day, so let them come here and a have a great celebration of Christmas food and fun. It’s a privilege to do it.”
The EBM’s Rev. Brian Anderson thanked Sandie “and her elves for the their kindness showing the true meaning of Christmas”.
The Mission works around the year helping people in the area facing a number of different challenges.
