'Easier to get Beyonce tickets' than booking Dungannon swimming lessons, councillor claims

It has been claimed that it is easier to get tickets to see pop star Beyonce than to book swimming lessons in Dungannon.

Sinn Féin councillor Niamh Doris made the claim at a meeting of Mid Ulster District Council on Thursday, saying one frustrated parent had told her it would be easier to get tickets to see the former Destiny's Child star.

The local council is to develop an action plan in an attempt to resolve residents’ frustrations with the booking of swimming lessons in council-owned leisure centres.
