A burst main, which resulted in around 100,000 properties losing water, has left one Milngavie road looking like it was hit by a natural disaster.
The pipe exploded at around 3.45pm yesterday afternoon leading to a deluge of water flooding Auchenhowie Road.
Scottish Water worked tirelessly overnight to ensure that many of those impacted woke up to running taps this morning.

However, the damage to the surface is severe and now workers will piece the road back together. Heavy machinery has also been called in to help with resurfacing the road.
An abandoned car is currently stuck between the flooded underpass and the shards of tarmac that were forced up by the pipe failure.
Auchenhowie Road, Glasgow Road and Dougalstown Avenue remain shut to vehicles.
Some residents of Finnieston are still stuck at home without a water supply following the major incident. It is currently unclear how long the work on the road will take.
The latest statement from Scottish Water reads: "We are aware that there are some isolated reports of no water from customers in and around Glasgow city centre this morning. This is under investigation, and we will be liaising directly with those customers that have contacted us this morning.
"Now that water supplies are restored, some customers may experience some discoloured water supply.
"Glasgow Road and part of Auchenhowie Road remain closed as a result of the significant damage caused.
"We are working with our utility partners to assess the impact and damage caused, as well as, to allow a safe excavation of the damaged water main for repairs to be undertaken.
"Local diversions remain in place, and will do so, whilst these repairs and subsequent reinstatement works take place.
"We apologise to all customers affected for the inconvenience and disruption to their service."
