New Delhi: While Earth observation (EO) data can contribute up to USD 703 billion to the global economy annually, more than 37 per cent of EO's total economic opportunity remains uncaptured -- around USD 263 billion in annual value -- according to a new report.
Challenges in data acquisition, processing and deployment are among the key reasons for this unrealised value, according to the analysis.
