Earn £250 by eating food - but only if you are right-handed

People looking a for a bit of extra cash can bag themselves a nice sum of £250 by eating food - but there is a slight catch.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge are looking for people to take part in an eating study they are conducting. It will be looking into eating behaviours with scientists using brain scanners and doing blood tests during it along with questionnaires, WalesOnline writes.

In return, participants will receive £250 plus travel expenses. However, there are certain criteria people have to meet in order to be part of the study.

Anyone who is interested in getting involved must be a fluent English speaker. They also have to be right-handed and aged between 18 and 45 and have no history of mental health disorders.

Those who take part will be required to make two visits to Addenbrooke's Hospital. The first will last two hours and the second will involve an overnight stay.

A letter from the University of Cambridge reads: "We are inviting participants to take part in a brain imaging study on eating behaviour. The study will involve two visits to Addenbrooke’s Hospital: one screening visit, lasting about two hours, and one overnight visit, lasting about 36 hours."
