With how early votes look, it appears Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will likely make the All-NBA first team. He owns 44 total point votes, which is the most among guards in the league, so far. Gilgeous-Alexander has seven first-team votes and three second-team votes.
The notable media voters who voted for Gilgeous-Alexander onto the first team are The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, Ryen Russillo and Michael Pena, ESPN’s JJ Redick, SI’s Chris Herring, Yahoo!’s Dan Devine and The Athletic’s Sam Amick.
The Athletic’s Joe Vardon, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Fox’s Chris Broussard each voted Gilgeous-Alexander onto the All-NBA second team.
In 68 games, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 31.4 points on 62.6 true-shooting percentage, 5.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds. The 40-42 Thunder finished with the 10th seed.
