Jack Butland - Wrist
Jack Butland broke his hands in training back in July but the Athletic reported he'd be out for up to eight weeks. That was eight weeks ago so he might be back in training soon but will miss this weekend's game.
Butland said (Jul 29): “Broken hand. No op required. Chance to push the limits and come back a monster. No excuses”.
Potential return date: Within the next few weeks.
Nathaniel Clyne - Ankle
During the match against Chelsea, Clyne rolled his ankle while losing in an aerial duel to Thiago Silva in the build-up of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He had to be stretchered off and could be out for the foreseeable future.
Potential return date: Unknown
Joachim Anderson - Calf
Injured during training, Joachim Anderson will be a big loss for Palace ahead of Sunday. According to WhoScored, Anderson has been Palace's second best player this season with a 7.27 rating, only behind Wilfred Zaha who has a 7.31 rating.
Vieira said (Oct. 1): "He is injured, I’m told. Don’t think it’s hugely serious, but definitely a niggle."
Potential return date: Unknown
Nathan Ferguson - Ankle
Nathan Ferguson suffered an ankle injury in training over a month ago but hasn't featured under Vieira since.
Vieira said (Aug. 12): "[Nathan] just had a setback. It's too early to talk about, but obviously, he didn't train in the last couple of days with the team."
Potential return date: Unknown
James McArthur - Groin
James McArthur suffered again from his reoccurring groin injury in July and hasn't played a minute this season. He missed a lot of pre-season with injuries and has now missed their first seven games of the season.
Vieira said (Jul 30): "It’s just a step back. It is an injury. Hopefully, it’s not going to be as long as we think. We’ll have to wait on Monday to see how long it is."
Potential return date: Unknown
