Piers Morgan has said he is pressing ahead with plans to sue Earl Spencer despite the author issuing an apology over a factual error in his controversial memoir about Diana, Princess of Wales.

The broadcaster has instructed lawyers to demand that the work be withdrawn from sale immediately, while calling on Diana’s brother to pulp all remaining copies.
