Eamonn Holmes sparks concern with chronic pain post after presenting at Queen's funeral

Eamonn Holmes has sparked concern after opening up about his sleepless night due to his chronic pain condition.

The This Morning presenter, 62, took to Twitter to open up about his battle with chronic pain as he encouraged others who are currently suffering to let out their emotional pain by talking about it.

The much-loved presenter had spent a long day on his feet on Monday while broadcasting from Queen Elizabeth's funeral, and following the momentous day, Eamonn shared some hope with his followers who are also struggling with chronic pain.

"Hello all my chronic pain sufferers. I know it's not much help but it does help a little I feel to know we are not alone," Eamonn penned.

"Therefore from time to time I make these posts so some of you can share stories and just talk to someone who knows what you are going through," he added.

His thoughtful post evoked an overwhelming response from followers who 'needed to hear' his inspiring words amid their painful battles.

"I’m glad you spread the word. I’ve managed (not suffered from) chronic pain for 12 years but try to help others with the same issues. Thank you Eamonn," one of his followers replied.

Another one of Eamonn's fans asked the presenter if he was 'awake with the pain', to which he replied: "Yep. Afraid so. Awful day and night."

While another fan penned: "Sorry to hear you're in pain, we’re nothing without our health, peaceful night to all."

Eamonn recently urged those with chronic pain struggles to get treatment as soon as possible and not to suffer in silence.

Suffering from a dislocated pelvis and a trapped sciatic nerve, among many other health concerns, Eamonn hopes to bring awareness to other sufferers.

Speaking of his pelvis recently, he told the Irish Independent that it came from a 'mysterious' injury that put his back 'out of alignment' and opening up on his chronic pain battle back in March 2021, Eamonn said: "Starting the day by tackling the pain from the night before. On the physio table. Chronic pain. Just can't get it to go away.

The former This morning presenter previously issued a statement over his health after being rushed to hospital.

After suffering with chronic pain 'for years', Eamonn announced he was taking a short break under doctors' orders.

"Sadly, so many of you know the feeling. Thanks for sharing your stories. I'm determined to beat this... however much it hurts."

Eamonn recently spoke out to support the release of a new book called Body by personal trainer to the stars James Davies.

Pain experts often recommend a short course of physical therapy, and Eamonn - who has turned to James to help him cope with his own fight with ongoing pain - said: "So many people suffer chronic pain which could be avoided."

Describing the treatment he receives he added: “Usually when he's working on my body, it is nothing but pain but I do listen to what James' has to say.

“James's book is about healing, resetting and restoring your body. A lot of people will be suffering pain and it is an awful thing."
