Eamonn Holmes has given a candid update on his battle with chronic pain. The former This Morning host first spoke out about his health last year.
Back in April 2021, Eamonn shared a snap of himself on Instagram after making a trip to the hospital. He then said in a further update after making a repeat trip to the hospital: "At Hospital ..... pain like I've never experienced in my life. Need to find out what's causing this."
He later discovered following an MRI scan that his pain began when he "mysteriously" dislocated his pelvis, which has then subsequently caused his back problems. Eamonn has since been undergoing physio and he has admitted he has "been using a walking stick or crutch every day".

In a fresh update, the GB News presenter said he is battling every day to cope with chronic back and leg pain, employing alternative and natural therapists, physios and the best medical care he can, all just to get comfortable and more mobile.
The Mirror reports that during his down times when the pain is too much or the effort to get out of his armchair seems overwhelming, there is one little thought brings him back to fighting mode; Maggie, his rescue dog. "She’s just the best girl and she deserves to be out walking with me every day and I miss walking with her," he said. "But at the moment I just can’t manage it."
The 62-year-old added: "She’s 12 and has slowed down a little but she’s still fit and active. But I’ve been finding it hard recently to keep on top of back pain and I’m trying everything that might help. There are days I’m just not able to move about too much and it’s awful."
Eamonn was speaking after he travelled to London to co-host an event dedicated to rescue dogs, K-9 Angels founded by his friends Victoria Featherstone Pearce, Pola Pospieszalska and Anneka Svenska, has re-homed more than 1,200 dogs in the last 10 years, and sent medical aid and food to animals in need, financed shelter and neuter campaigns
It comes after he shared a look at his efforts to reduce his pain on Instagram - which left his followers horrified. During a session of cupping, Eamonn got a pic of just what it looks like with wife Ruth Langsford calling him her 'Ninja Turtle'.
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of heated cups. Sharing the picture with his followers, Eamonn wrote: "My osteo James has just gone Home. How am I supposed to get into bed now????? #Cupping."
Carol Vorderman was among Eamonn's celebs followers to reply and said: "That actually looks HORRIFIC." Lisa Snowden also commented: "Ruth will be playing the peace pipes on your back."
And it surprised fans too. @annielou175 said: "Flipping heck!! You look like a hedgehog." @tinasfurbabiesx4 wrote: "Now that looks painful." @nuala.farrell.1 added: "Eugh!! That looks horrific. Wish I hadn’t seen it."
