Eamonn Holmes has slammed Holly Willoughby and claimed she 'stabbed Phillip Schofield in the back' amid his sensational exit from the ITV show.
Former This Morning presenter Eamonn hasn't held back when discussing his views on Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, as he claimed 'she knows the truth'. Discussing the situation on his GB News show, Eamonn's co-host Isabel Webster questioned: "Has Holly stabbed Phillip in the back?"
The former ITV presenter, who hosted This Morning alongside his wife Ruth Langsford until 2021, slammed Holly and quipped: "Yes, she made her name on the back of him."
Isabel interjected: "But if he does something that she doesn't want to be associated with and she said, 'Either I go or he goes' is that stabbing someone in the back or is that saying, 'I have my own professional integrity and I don't want to be associated with something.'"
"Excuse me," Eamonn continued. "If she has her own professional integrity then why isn't she coming out in public and saying, 'I have my own professional integrity, he has done something which will reflect badly on me.'
"But, she again is being as false as he is and nobody is talking about the elephant in the room."
Reading out Holly's statement, Eamonn said: "She says, 'I thank him for all his knowledge, his experience and his humour' all the things she didn't have when she came to the show."
GB News guest and journalist Dawn Neesom discussed Eamonn's rumoured 'feud' with Phil after reports emerged that Ruth filed an official complaint against him after he cut her off during the Loose Women crossover. Dawn said: "[Phillip] rudely interrupted Ruth when she was trying to do a link to Loose Women."
Eamonn interrupted Dawn and continued: "Look I could give you a list of the lack of kindness and the lack of awareness from both of them about how they would socialise with people around them...you just have to look at my phone to see the number of people glad to see the back of both of them."
It was Eamonn's first broadcast since the news of Phillip's departure from This Morning was announced and he didn't hold back. The broadcaster shared a cryptic tweet over the weekend stating that it was a "good day".
Alongside the post, Eamonn uploaded a snap of his granddaughter Emilia kissing his cheek. Writing to his followers, he said on Saturday: "Pappa got a smacker. Thank u Emilia. All in all that rounded off what turned out to be a good day".
