Eamonn Holmes has opened up on his "awful" battle with shingles.
The broadcaster appeared on yesterday's edition of Steph's Packed Lunch to mark 40 years of working in television.
It is also Shingles Awareness Week and Eamonn admitted it was "scary" when he was struck down with the condition in 2018.

He said: "I woke up with it, I looked in the mirror - and there it was like Quasimodo looking back at me.
"Those blisters, especially around my eyes, are particularly dangerous because if it impacts on your optic nerve, it could be really serious. It was quite scary.
The 62-year-old said the "timing was absolutely horrendous" as he contracted the condition ahead of his son's wedding and claimed his appearance spoiled photos from the day.
He added: "My eldest son was getting married and he was the first of my children to get married and so far the only one of my children to be married.
“My face was like this. It was absolutely awful I had to be in all of the pictures, I’m the father of the groom.
“I got a makeup artist to try and cover it up but to no avail, it wasn’t good.
“To this day Steph, I can’t look at Declan and Jenny’s wedding pictures.”
Eamonn has teamed up with GSK [GlaxoSmithKline] to urge people to be aware of shingles - and said the condition particularly affects those over 50 with a run down immune system.
He added: "Know your risk factors. Go and see your health professional. There is a website. Understandingshingles.co.uk and everything you need to know in relation to how it would affect you is there."
Steph's Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4
