Eamonn Holmes opened up about the most 'profound thing he's ever done' after wife Ruth Langsford made a confession about their marriage. Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the GB News star showed his support for The Dog's Trust.
He reshared a post from the animal charity on Twitter which featured their new advert. Alongside the minute-long ad, The Dog's Trust wrote: "Say hello to our new TV advert! As dog owners will know, it is our daily routines with our dogs that bond us. We are here to protect that bond so our support, training & advice is here to make sure that dogs and their owners stay together. Because we believe #ADogIsForLife."
Quick to share the message with his own followers, Eamonn reshared the tweet with the 63-year-old typing: "Not only is 'A Dog for Life', I found giving a dog a life through rehoming one of the most profound things I have ever done."

He was referring to his and Ruth's rescue dog, Maggie, who they adopted back in 2011 after Eamonn spotted her at the Dog’s Trust in Harefield, West London, while filming for Sky News. "What I have given I've received back a thousand fold," Eamonn went on before adding: "Especially during my recent illnesses. Please #AdoptDontShop Watch the new @DogsTrust appeal."
His message was quickly supported with fans flocking to share his sentiment and the comments were soon full of pictures of his followers' own fur babies.
Eamonn's sweet post came hours after wife Ruth revealed that she sometimes experiences 'jealousy' when it comes to her husband. The admission came during Monday's episode of Loose Women in which the all-female panel were dicussing whether they get jealous when they see their partners getting close to someone else.
It came off the back of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu's debut performance on Dancing On Ice on Sunday night which sparked complaints from viewers as some found it to be a bit too sexy for a family show. But in the audience, her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti was showing his support and praised his girlfiend's efforts despite her landing in the skate-off.
Ruth joked that she couldn’t see Davide getting jealous due to his own attractive appearance but then made an admission about her own jealousy. "Easy not to be jealous Davide; I, on the other hand, would not be able to hide my jealousy," she admitted. "You know me, Janet [Street Porter]. I’m like the colour of her jumper," she said, pointing at her co-star's green top.
"Even if Eamonn did Dancing on Ice?" fellow panelist Frankie Bridge then asked. To which the presenter replied: "Can you imagine?" Linda Robson was quick to jump in as she remarked: "Can I just say, Eamonn is like a woman magnet. When I went to his 60th birthday, he was just surrounded by women the whole time."
But Ruth agreed with her, replying: "He likes women’s company. If it’s mates, he’s got a lot of really good female friends and that’s not a problem to me. But if I was somewhere and I thought ‘she’s been coming onto my husband, she’s been talking to him for a bit too long,’ I go over and say: 'Hi, I don’t think we’ve met; I’m Eamonn’s wife!'"
