A 21-year-old year old woman will appear in court on Wednesday charged with the murder of her dinner lady mother in Ealing, west London.
Aziza Bennis, 58, was found with stab wounds following a disturbance at a house in Boddington Gardens, a cul-de-sac close to Acton Town Tube station.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3.30pm on Monday.
A post mortem examination found the cause of her death to be multiple stab injuries.Her daughter Hanna Bennis, of Ealing was arrested and taken into custody.
On Wednesday, she was charged with murder and will appear before Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.
Mrs Bennis’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Neighbours told the Standard that she worked as a dinner lady at a nearby school.
One said: “It’s a tragedy for all of us. I have not got a bad word to say about her.”
A 21-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder has since been released with no further action to be taken against him.
