According to Adam Schefter, the Derek Barnett era is over in Philadelphia, as the Eagles are the disgruntled pass rusher.
Barnett missed last week’s win over Kansas City for personal reasons, and he had yet to practice this week while remaining away from the team.
Waiving Barnett allows him to land with what should be a host of suitors interested in a physical, run-stopping pass rusher.

Barnett, 27, was a first-round pick by the Eagles in the 2017 NFL Draft, and he’s been solid, logging 21.5 sacks over his seven-year career.
Moving on from Barnett will allow rookie pass rusher Nolan Smith to see more reps on the edge.
The Eagles wanted more pressure on the opposing quarterback, and according to PFF, Barnett has 0 pressures in 55 pass-rush snaps this season.
