The Eagles have been linked to Tyrann Mathieu since the start of free agency and it appears that the interest could now be mutual between both parties.
According to the NFL Network’s Mike Garafalo, Philadelphia remains in the mix for his services, and reps for both have remained in contact.
“There’s a couple of teams that have remained in communication. One of them is the Philadelphia Eagles. And I know there’s been talk of a visit but nothing has been set up to this point between Tyrann Mathieu and the Eagles. So let’s see how long Tyrann Mathieu carries this out.”
The draft is fast approaching and Anthony Harris’s return has been the only movement at the position, but adding Mathieu could add a swiss army knife to Gannon’s defense while providing Philadelphia with one of the NFL’s top leaders as well.
