On Tuesday, Twiter/X users and Eagles fans on Reddit were deeply enthralled in a potential name change for the NFL’s most polarizing run play.
After NFL coaches and execs tried to get Philadelphia’s now famous quarterback sneak outlawed at the league meetings, the efficient run play was rule valid, allowing the Birds and 31 other teams to utilize the play.
Through four weeks of the NFL season, Only the Eagles are having success with the play, and it’s caused some in the sports world to deem the play illegal.
On Wednesday, GMFB and others in the media discussed the potential name change, and while addressing the local media, head coach Nick Sirianni favored the name change.
