Philadelphia signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow and offensive tackle Tyre Phillips to the 16-man practice squad. In corresponding moves, the team released linebacker Kyron Johnson, and cornerback Tiawan Mullen.
Signed Nicholas Morrow
Signed during free agency after leading the Bears in tackles last season, Morrow lost a training camp battle to Christian Elliss and Zach Cunnigham.
Sign Tyre Phillips
A massive offensive tackle, Phillips was a third-round pick of the Ravens in 2020 out of Mississippi State and was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants at the end of the 2022 preseason.
Phillips played in 12 games with five starts for the Giants last season, four games at right tackle and one at left tackle. Phillips has played in 38 regular-and postseason games with 20 starts at every position except center.
Release CB Tiawan Mullen
An All-Big 10 and an All-American performer at Indiana, Mullen was a rookie free agent who was with the Chargers in the 2023 preseason. Mullen had 11 tackles and two pass deflections in three games this summer. He led the game in tackles against the Rams in the preseason opener. Mullen also spent time on special teams.
Release LB Kyron Johnson
A sixth-round pick out of Kansas, Johnson was released after he played in 16 regular-season games, spending most of his time on special teams in 2022. Johnson recorded two tackles on special teams in the first preseason game against the Ravens.
