Love Island viewers didn't hide their delight when Will Young finally got to go on a date after being snubbed by Lana Jenkins in the villa. The farmer and TikTok star didn't get off to the best of starts in the villa as the ninth series of the ITV2 dating show kicked off last week.
He was originally paired with Olivia Hawkins, who initially chose to couple up with Kai Fagan before he was stolen by Tanyel Revan, as the only two remaining singletons during the first coupling. However, the almost immediate arrival of bombshell Tom Clare meant that Will ended up single and risked being the first dumped from the island when the footballer chose to partner with ring girl and actress Olivia.
But Will was saved from the first dumping of the series when he was chosen by Lana after her partner, Ron Hall, was picked by Tanyel Revan after Kai was recoupled with Anna-May Robey. Lana, however, poured water over any chances of a romance hotting up between her and Will so the latter was delighted with the latest arrivals.
