Eagle-eyed Corrie fans think they have spotted a 'mistake' in scenes with Maria Connor in Coronation Street after Weatherfield's sassy hairstylist turned eco-warrior. Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, has thrown herself into a political career after learning that her son Joseph's asthma was brought on by traffic.
While the local councillor has been putting green issues at the top of the agenda, bringing in extra bins and new collections, her ambitions and changes have made her the target of online abuse. A deep-fake video was made to humiliate her, in which her face was added to the body of an unknown naked woman.
But Coronation Street have noticed a detail at odds with her campaigning. Eagle-eyed viewer Zayn Khalil Hussain took to the Coronation Sttreet spoilers news gossip and fan chat Facebook group to ask: "Anyone else noticed that Maria's flat is like Blackpool illuminations?"

And Sarah Smith echoed: "Made me giggle. The other day when after giving a lecture on recycling saving the planet, etc, her and Gary walked into their flat in broad daylight and first thing she done was turn two lights on which made absolutely no difference to the level of lightning in the flat xx lol."
Kimberly Linn Jacobs wrote: "If she were serious ... she'd be useing a refillable coffee cup. Small touch, but shows some intent." And Karen Lufc Sheppey Waswilson observed: "All the house have lamps on in the daytime."
But Barbara Eifler defended: "It’s TV Land, they need the lighting to film!!!" Wayne Kaladinskas said: "She don't pay it. Corrie do." And Linda Watson said: "I despair at this nit picking you're supposed to be concentrating on the story lines, not on how many lights are on."
