EA Sports FC: expected release date and early-access for FIFA replacement

With FIFA 23's cycle coming to an end, the brand new football game EA Sports FC is set to be released in the coming months.

After 30 years, EA Sports and FIFA have put an end to their long-term partnership, with FIFA 23 confirmed to be the final instalment of EA's popular FIFA video game series. As we enter July, attention is starting to now turn away from FIFA 23 and towards EA's newest football game, EA Sports FC.

The hype surrounding EA FC has started to build up over the past few days, with more information starting to be released to the public on what to anticipate, whilst we are also expecting to find out more about the game throughout the rest of the month. EA unveiled the official EA FC logo in April which you may have seen debut in Liverpool's 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Anfield, and we recently received our first glimpse of the new game.

David Jackson, VP of Brand at EA Sports announced EA FC will be powered by HyperMotion V, the best technology used in a football game to date. Players are extremely excited about what is to come in EA FC, but when will the game be released? Let's take a look.

EA Sports FC expected release date and early access

EA tends to release new FIFA titles in late September or early October, but with EA FC being a new game, it's hard to predict whether EA will continue to follow the same release pattern used for its FIFA titles.

FIFA's past release dates have always fallen on the last Friday in September which allows the publisher to match up with the real-life football calendar, and we expect the same will happen in EA FC.

With this in mind, we expect EA Sports FC to be released worldwide on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Players who pre-order the game usually receive early access to the game as well, so we predict that pre-ordering EA FC could give you access as early as Monday, September 26, 2023. Another way to access FIFA titles early in the past is with an EA Play subscription that offers a 10-hour trial to play the game before its official release, and if EA FC does the same, EA Play members will be able to access the game for 10 hours on the same day as players who pre-ordered.
