The rumor mill is hot with whispers of a potential video game starring none other than everyone’s favorite billionaire playboy Tony Stark.
Last week, Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb claimed that Electronic Arts (EA) was developing a Black Panther game. Fast-forward to now, Grubb also states that the publisher might be working on another single-player Marvel game (thanks, Eurogamer). However, he didn’t specify what the franchise might be.
Well-known industry insider Tom Henderson then picked up on the rumblings, adding fuel to the speculative fires.
“I’ve heard a few rumors that it’s Iron Man, but I never had anything concrete to fully report on,” Tom Henderson said on Twitter. “Put this heavily under the ‘rumor’ category for now.”

Put this heavily under the "rumor" category for now and if I hear/see more information that's concrete I'll report on it properly. Just thought it was worth mentioning. https://t.co/MF3ddG04yR

As always, take this with an infinity stone-sized grain of salt. Even if something materializes at EA, it might never see the light of day. Nothing is certain unless the publisher explicitly says so. It’s also worth keeping in mind that other characters besides Stark take up the Iron Man mantle, so don’t set expectations based on our cheeky opener.
While not under EA’s umbrella, there are quite a few Marvel titles in the works at major studios. Insomniac’s Spider-Man is coming to PC soon, and the sequel is in development alongside Wolverine. Midnight Suns from Firaxis is another, which is looking good.
