EA FC 26 Players Wonder If Casuals Still Exist, Because Every Match Is a Sweatfest

EA FC 26 fans are discussing how competitive the game has become this year. Every match becomes a fierce competition that requires full focus. It’s not like previous years anymore, where you could chat to a friend and play a game at the same time.

The skill ceiling is much higher now, and even if you play in the low division, you still get paired against really good players. EA FC 26’s gameplay changes are also a factor in this. For instance, defending is now more manual than before, which has raised the game’s difficulty.

This debate started on r/EASportsFC subreddit, where a member posted a screenshot of MattHD’s tweet talking bout how every match has become a “sweatfest.”

The post became relatable to a lot of members. Everyone started talking about how players are better than ever. Every match is super competitive and can even become toxic. Players are wondering if casuals even exist because every player they face feels like a pro.

The general opinion is that the game is much more difficult and “sweatier” than before. You can’t enjoy a relaxing game after work anymore. A member’s comment summarised the situation perfectly,

Rivals sweatfest. Champs sweatfest. Squad battles are an even bigger sweatfest. Tournaments sweatfest.

Rush pointless.

What a year

The game is becoming more toxic and competitive, which makes it difficult for casuals to enjoy it. Fans are even considering quitting the game or regretting their decision to buy the game.

If you wanna play for rewards, it’s hell, and if you wanna play casually, you aren’t allowed due to the ridiculous nature of the opponents.

I was on the fence about buying this year, but fell for it; however, this is 100% the last one I buy because it’s clear that it’s just not the game (or I’m not the gamer) that is worth playing anymore.

Another fan had the same feelings.

I uninstalled. I’m 37 and just can’t keep up. Not worth the stress, agony. I’m average at best and right now, I can’t even be that. Went 1-6 in champs and hit the delete button. I normally get 7-9 wins.

Overall, one thing is for sure: the game has become a lot more sweaty. Whether it’s the new game or just a poor matchmaking system, you get queued against really strong players every match. As MattHD put it, every game is an “absolute sweatfest.”
