Lee Johnson brought three players in ahead of the transfer window slamming shut for the summer.
And Dylan Tait went in the opposite direction as the young midfielder headed out for a third loan spell since signing for Hibs on a long-term deal in September last year. This time he is off to Arbroath for the season as he bids to land crucial first-team minutes.
During his time at Easter Road he has enjoyed spells with Raith Rovers and most recently Kilmarnock as he helped the Ayrshire men lift the Scottish Championship crown last season and return to the Premiership at the first time of asking. Now he will look to provide Dick Campbell's side with the spark they need to get their campaign up and running and he will join a fellow former Hibs star in the shape of Scott Allan at his new club.

A Hibs club statement read: "Dylan Tait has joined cinch Championship side Arbroath on a season-long deal until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
"This will be the young midfielder’s third spell on loan after signing a long-term deal with the Hibees in September 2021.
"Since then, he has enjoyed spells at Raith Rovers and most recently Kilmarnock, where he helped Killie gain promotion back to the Scottish top-flight.
"Earlier this season Dylan made his Hibernian FC debut – coming off the bench during our 5-0 win over Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup.
"Tait will now join up with Dick Campbell’s Arbroath team for the remainder of the 2022/23 league season, where he will continue to gain important First Team minutes to help his development.
"We wish Dylan the best of luck during his time with Arbroath."
His exit comes as Harry McKirdy, Mykola Kukharevych and Will Fish all checked in on a very busy final day at Easter Road.
