Dying man left 'devastated' by garden of new home that is 'a hill'

A man with a terminal disease says he has been left "trapped" because the garden of the council house he moved into is "unusable". Keith Watson's rear outdoor space is on a steep slope and he says he has been told he has to pay £6,000 to fix it.

Keith, 65, said that housing provider Trent & Dove won't assist him with the cost. He said his mental health had suffered as a result of the row.

Keith, a former soil tester, has lived alone in the bungalow in Burton since April. He said he "fighting" to rectify the situation was leaving him "putting in all my last energy in trying to get this sorted".
