A sick father wrote 30 years' worth of birthday cards for his baby twin daughters as he lay on his deathbed.
When Nick Keenan was told his glioblastoma (GBM), a fast-growing and aggressive brain tumour, would kill him, he penned cards for Rose and Sophia, who were just 17 months old. He wanted his girls to have a birthday message from him every year.
And, since the journey, Nick died aged 34, nine months after being told he had GBM, the most common primary brain cancer, of which there are more than 3,000 diagnoses in the UK each year.
