DWP warns PIP claimants of serious repercussions if they don't notify of changes

Benefit claimants are being warned they could be risking serious repercussions if they do not report certain changes in circumstances to DWP. Latest figures from the department show that at the end of April 2022, almost three million people claimed support across the UK through Personal Independence Payments (PIP).

People can receive between £97.80 and £627.60 every four weeks, The Daily Record reports. However, there are circumstance changes that must be mentioned to DWP.

One of the major ones for this time of year is telling DWP if you plan to go abroad for more than four weeks, but there are others which may seem trivial and have been overlooked which could cause problems if not reported.
