DWP shares timeline for second cost of living payment for eligible tax credit claimants

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has shared the set timeline for the next round of cost of living payments across UK households.

The UK Government's cost of living payment scheme was rolled out across the country in the summer, reports NottinghamshireLive. Some people received payment in the summer, but many in receipt of tax credits received their money a bit later.

A total of 1.1 million households who claim tax credits received the first cost of living payment of £326 from September 12 onwards.

The Government confirmed that the first payment was in people's accounts by September 7, 2022. Those who receive benefits from the DWP will have received their £326 by this point as well.
