The UK has been hit with a cost of living crisis as households across the UK struggle amid mounting costs of energy, food and petrol.
The Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) has announced a variety of financial packages to help support people through this period. The DWP confirmed more than eight million low income households will receive £650 in financial aid to help with mounting costs as the price of energy, food and petrol skyrocket.
The payments are split into two instalments and the second payment of £324 should be arriving over the coming weeks. However, the mounting costs means many will still be looking for different avenues of financial support to help them through a difficult winter period - as the MEN reports.
