The Department for Work and Pensions has issued an update on when some people will receive the £326 cost of living payment. The department gave the payment - the first instalment of an overall cost of living package worth £650 - to more than seven million people in July to help those hardest hit by the cost of living crisis.
The July payments were given to those claiming universal credit or other qualifying benefits such as jobseeker's allowance, ESA, income support or pension credit. But those claiming tax credits were warned at the time that they wouldn't receive the payment until sometime in September.
The DWP has now issued an update on when the remaining people will receive the money into their bank accounts. Here's what you need to know about which tax credit claimants qualify for the payment and when they will get the money.
