The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has issued an update on the £150 disability cost of living payment.
The DWP confirmed around six million people across the UK will receive the cash boost to help with mounting costs as the price of energy, food and petrol skyrocket. The financial support will be paid to claimants automatically from September 20 - and the "vast majority" of those eligible will receive the cash by the beginning of October - as The Daily Record reports.
The DWP has now shared a new update which clarifies who will receive the support before the price hike kicks in on October 1. It said: "Those who had confirmed payment of their disability benefit for 25 May are expected to be paid shortly after the payment window opens.
