The first Cost of Living Payment has already been received or soon will be received by eight million households. The £650 payment is divided in two with one paid in the summer and the other paid in the autumn.
The emergency support was introduced to help people manage the soaring costs of fuel, food and energy bills. More than 7.2 million UK households have got the first half of the payment.
Chronicle Live reports that people should not worry if they have not received the first payment of £326 yet as the DWP has said all eligible households will get it by 31 July.
