The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has outlined changes in the decision making process for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). A full review of the application process has been rejected.
An online petition calling for a full review into how Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is delivered, focusing in particular on the role independent assessors play in the application process has received over 12,000 signatures and therefore triggered a response from the government.
The petition has been posted on the petitions-parliament website. Once a petition passes the 10,000 threshold a response is required. At 100,000 signatures, the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.
