Former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke insists he could end Celtic and Rangers' dominance of Scottish football if he got the Aberdeen job.
Yorke has broken his silence on links with a move to Pittodrie, confirming he would be 'privileged' to take the vacant managerial position at the Dons.
But there's plenty of interest in the role and Yorke doesn't have a huge amount of managerial experience. His only job was with Macarthur FC in the Australian A-League, although he did guide them to Australian Cup success during his time at the club before he left his role in January.

Mark Bosnich insisted Yorke would be a great fit for Aberdeen last week when he declared that his old United team-mate would be able to bring European success to Pittodrie by winning the Europa Conference League in years to come.
Yorke did laugh that off but suggested he would be able to end the duopoly of Scottish football which has seen the Old Firm win every league title since 1985 when Sir Alex Ferguson guided Aberdeen to the Premier Division title.
And it's following in his old mentor's footsteps which would seriously interest Yorke and he's confident in his own abilities if he was to be given the chance, reports Football Scotland.
He told OLBG: " Mark Bosnich is a good friend, I promise I haven't paid him to say I can win the Europa Conference League with Aberdeen! We know that Celtic and Rangers have had a stranglehold over the league for years and no one has been able to break that hold.
"There is a good opportunity for me to break that hold in the right setting with the right backing. I can understand the high expectation because that is how I am as an individual, things aren't impossible. Before anything happens, I have to get the job first, this is just based on what Bosnich has said.
"As a manager, you can't disregard any kind of job. Aberdeen are obviously a big club with a great history, they had arguably the greatest manager in English history, Sir Alex Ferguson. It's a privilege to be linked to such a club like Aberdeen, whether anything will materialise then that's a different story."
Speaking last week, Bosnich told the Daily Record: “After Sir Alex broke the duopoly way back when, in my mind, Aberdeen have always been a top four club. So when you see them outside of that you start to think, ‘Well, what’s going on?’. With Scotland’s co-efficient in a relatively good place, you think Aberdeen should be going for those European places.
“That would be the aim for Dwight. Look, Sir Alex achieved something amazing when he beat Real Madrid to win the Cup Winners’ Cup.
“But I’ve said to Dwight, he has to aim to go one better. We were playing table tennis the other day and I said to him, ‘Why can’t Aberdeen set out to break the duopoly all over again and maybe even win the Europa Conference League? Imagine what they’ll be saying about you if you can replicate what Sir Alex achieved? Maybe you can bring those days back!’
“Rangers reached the Europa League Final just a few months ago and only lost on penalties against an Eintracht Frankfurt side which is now flying in the Champions League. So, even if it may sound a bit far-fetched, why shouldn’t Dwight be looking to do something similar with Aberdeen?”
