Looking for your DVLA application status? Luckily the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has published its weekly update for motorists.
The agency's backlog is more than four weeks long for some applications, but one method is the fastest.
Online applications are processed as soon as they're sent unlike those submitted on paper.
In fact, the DVLA urges drivers to use the online services to avoid delays.
Its website says: "This is the quickest, easiest, and often cheapest way to deal with us."
Hold ups with paper applications are due to additional delays in processing more complex cases, such as if medical investigations are needed as part of your driving licence application.
