All Dutton Ranch episodes are now available to stream, and fans have another reason to get excited. Star Kelly Reilly has shared the first major update on Season 2, revealing when filming is expected to begin following the dramatic cliffhanger ending.
Where to watch Dutton Ranch episodes
All nine Dutton Ranch episodes from Season 1 are currently streaming on Paramount+. The entire first season is available on demand, making it easy for viewers to catch up before the next chapter arrives.
The series concluded its debut season on July 3 with the finale titled "El Padrino," leaving fans with several unanswered questions after a tense showdown involving Beth, Rip, Carter and the rival 10-Petal Ranch.
What is Dutton Ranch about?
Set after the events of Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they leave Montana behind after losing their ranch to a wildfire.
The couple relocate to the fictional South Texas town of Rio Paloma, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, they find themselves facing new enemies, dangerous situations and the challenges of rebuilding their lives in unfamiliar territory.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their beloved Yellowstone roles, while Finn Little returns as Carter.
The series also stars Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Jai Courtney, Marc Menchaca, J.R. Villarreal, Josh Stewart, Natalie Alyn Lind and Juan Pablo Raba.
Kelly Reilly shares Season 2 filming update
While promoting the show, Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about what's next for the hit spinoff.
Reilly confirmed that filming is expected to begin early in 2027, while work on the scripts is already getting underway.
"We're slated to start early 2027 to film. But the [writing] room starts up pretty quick," Reilly said. "I think we're going to be very much involved in the room, so the next sort of six months is all about writing it."
Although production is still months away, the update suggests the creative team is already shaping the next chapter of Beth and Rip's story.
Who will return in Season 2?
The stars aren't giving much away just yet. Asked which characters will return, Reilly replied: "Who knows! It's up for grabs, I think, right now."
Cole Hauser hinted that one storyline is especially important to him following the Season 1 finale.
"Everything's on the table, and that's the great thing. The one thing that's más importante is that we get our kid back. That's going to take a couple episodes, hopefully. But Carter needs to come home," Hauser said.
His comments suggest Carter's storyline could play a major role when new Dutton Ranch episodes arrive.
What happened in the Dutton Ranch finale?
The Season 1 finale ended on one of the biggest cliffhangers in the Yellowstone universe.
Without revealing every twist, the final episode saw Beth, Rip and Carter facing off against the rival 10-Petal Ranch and Joaquin's father, Mariano, leaving one major character's future uncertain.
The dramatic ending has fueled speculation about where the story will go next.
When could Dutton Ranch Season 2 be released?
Paramount+ has not announced an official premiere date for Season 2.
However, with filming expected to begin in early 2027, fans may have to wait until later in the year before new Dutton Ranch episodes arrive.
Until then, viewers can stream the complete first season on Paramount+ and revisit every twist, emotional moment and cliffhanger before Beth and Rip return to the screen.
