Dutch trio drives home message of woman power

BENGALURU: Policewomen in the Netherlands and nomads in India. Meet Jacomijn Heupink, 48, Nicole Olbertz, 54, and Maaike van der Woude, 55, who have been travelling west to east across peninsular India to fulfil their wanderlust and promote women's empowerment along the way.

They planned this adventure during the first phase of the Covid-19 pandemic and decided to execute it by participating in an 'autorickshaw challenge' arranged by a Hungarian company.
