Arsenal were strongly interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic over the January transfer window, but the striker ended up joining Juventus for around £66million.
The Gunners identified the Serbian forward as their main target last month, but he ended up completing a big-money move to Juve instead.
Early on in his career at Juventus, Vlahovic has scored twice in five appearances, with the 22-year-old making a fine start to life in Turin after snubbing a move to the Premier League.
Vlahovic opened the scoring for Juventus just 32 seconds into his Champions League debut against Villarreal, and after the 1-1 draw, the striker spoke about his start to life with the Italian club.
"Obviously it was a good start because we scored in the first minute, but we did not win. I'm not so happy. We need to look forward and to continue to work hard and to try and win the next games," he said to BT Sport.
"We played good, but we did not win. We have another game where we need to be concentrated, 100%, to win this game, but we are ready for everything.
"I don't feel pressure. I'm trying to do my best. I need to work hard, but this definitely helps me and the team."
What has Arteta said?
Despite Vlahovic turning down Arsenal last month, Mikel Arteta insisted that the best players in the world still want to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta said: "Historically this club has always been targeting the best players in the world and the best players in the world are always interested to come here and I can say that situation hasn’t changed.
"Any time I have spoken to any player, they were so willing to come. I haven’t faced any other situation and that’s one of our biggest powers, our capacity to get the attention of people to come and join our club; it’s something that is a big advantage for us."
