Dunnes Stores has revealed that two popular veggie items will not be returning to the shelves this Christmas.
With Christmas rapidly approaching, people across Ireland are scrambling to get all the last-minute shopping sorted for the big day. While many of us will be tucking into a Christmas dinner consisting of turkey, ham, roast spuds, stuffing, and Brussels sprouts, others will be opting for an alternative roast.
Vegans and vegetarians will be looking forward to a dinner with Quorn roast and turkey. However, Dunnes Stores has announced that the meat alternatives will not be available this year.

Speaking to a shopper on Twitter, a spokesperson for the retail giant said: "Thank you for the tweet. I wish to advise that the Quorn Roast is not ranged across our stores for 2022. I am sorry to disappoint you on this occasion."
They also told a separate Twitter user that Quorn Turkey won't be coming back to the shelves either. Dunnes Stores has announced extended opening hours this Christmas.
However, the exact hours will depend on your location. For example, their Blanchardstown store will open until midnight on the 19th and 20th, and until 2am on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
All of their stores will close nationwide on Christmas Day and St Stephen's Day. To find your local store's trading hours, click here.
