A takeaway in Dundonald was robbed by a 'man armed with an object' in the early hours of Friday, June 24. The incident took place shortly after midnight at the premises on Craigleith Drive.
After smashing glass on the door of the takeaway, he entered and demanded money from a member of staff. He then fled from the scene with a sum of cash that was handed over.
A short time later, he returned to the takeaway but was unable to gain entry and made off on foot. The staff member was left physically unharmed but was left shaken by the encounter.

The suspect is described as 5'7 in height and of slim build. His face was covered with a grey scarf and he was wearing a grey top with the hood up and black trousers.
Detective Sergeant Shivers said: “We received a report that a male armed with an object, entered the premises on Craigleith Drive shortly after midnight.
“He smashed glass on the door of the takeaway before entering and demanded money from a member of staff. The male then fled with a sum of cash that was handed over.
“The suspect returned to the premises a short time later. However, he was unable to gain entry at that time and made off on foot.
“Our enquiries are continuing and I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or who saw the suspect to make contact with us.
“He is described as 5'7 in height and of slim build. His face was covered with a grey scarf and he was wearing a grey top with the hood up and black trousers.
“The staff member, whilst physically unharmed, was left shaken by what was obviously a terrifying experience.
"Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 40 of 24/06/22.
"Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
