Dundela said in a statement: "Niall and his staff came to the club at a difficult time with Dundela rooted to the bottom of Championship 1.
"A remarkable turn around in form under the guidance of Niall and his staff have seen Dundela go from relegation certainties to securing Championship football for next season with four games remaining, and climb to eighth position.
"We at Dundela look forward to the exciting times ahead."
Currie posted his thanks to his players and the club after last Saturday's draw with Ards guaranteed their Championship status for another season.
He said on Facebook: "Massive thank you to all my players for buying into what myself, Cliffy and John wanted from we arrived.
"After a poor start, the players accumulated 43pts in 26 games. Considering where we were I’m very proud to say we secured our position in Championship 1 today, now we focus on finishing the season strong and look forward to a real push next season.
"Thank you to the board for all their support and even more to my players who have been a credit to themselves and the club, looked unlikely, but we done it."
