Dundee FC has announced an annual profit in it’s latest annual financial report.
The club recorded a profit of £74,279 for the year ending 31st May 2021.
Bosses aid the figure was achieved in a year heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They admitted it was a ‘difficult season for everyone’ and one that will have a lasting impact on Scottish football for some time.
They said the positive figure was largely down to a ‘pragmatic approach’ to running the business.
A spokesman said: “Difficult decisions had to be made during this period but as always the club’s best interest was at the forefront of these choices.
“As stated during the period the club had full and complete Business Interruption Insurance in place which, alongside prudent business decisions and the backing from supporters, shareholders, and partners, allowed us to successfully navigate through this period.
“While other football clubs up and down the country registered millions of pounds of debt and/or losses for this calendar year, our handling of the situation has allowed the club to continue to build for the future without any negative financial ramifications.”
And they added: “We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to our supporters, shareholders, staff, sponsors, and partners for their continued unconditional support.”
