Joe Biden's visit to Ireland next week has forced Dundalk’s clash with Derry City to be rescheduled.
The US President is making stops in Belfast, Louth, Dublin and Mayo next week.
And due to policing requirements for the official state visit, the Oriel Park clash on Friday next has been moved by two days.
“The League of Ireland can confirm one fixture in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division has been rescheduled due to policing requirements for the official state visit of US President Joe Biden to Ireland,” read a statement.
“The SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division fixture between Dundalk and Derry City at Oriel Park on April 14, 2023 has been rescheduled following discussions with An Garda Siochana who have had resources required to manage the fixture safely redeployed to assist the visit of US President Biden to Ireland.
“The fixture will now be played on Sunday, 16 April, 2023 at 15:00."
