DUNCAN FERGUSON is reportedly open to potentially becoming the next Dundee United manager.
Jack Ross was sacked by the Premiership side this morning.
It comes just days after an embarrassing 9-0 loss against Celtic at Tannadice.
Attentions for the Tayside club have now turned to finding Ross' replacement.
And according to The Courier, Ferguson is interested in the vacant post.
Ferguson has spent time coaching at Everton over the last few years and has experience as caretaker boss of the Toffees on two separate occasions.
He left the Goodison park club in July with a view to becoming a manager in his own right.
And if reports are to be believed, he is open to speaking to United chiefs.
'Big Dunc' made his United debut at Ibrox in November 1990.
His final outing in tangerine came in an away clash to Falkirk in 1993 before he made the move to Rangers.
