Duncan Ferguson has admitted he was disappointed that he never got a chance a full-time management at Everton.
The Blues icon had two stints as interim manager at Goodison Park as he was installed as temporary boss following the sacking of Rafael Benitez and Marco Silva. Despite not being appointed the role on a full-time basis, he remained in his position as an assistant under the stewardship of Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and Frank Lampard. The appointment of the Chelsea icon left the former forward disappointed.

"I think it was considered," he said speaking to Sky Sports. "I went for an interview, but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in that interview.

"But I was disappointed I never got that chance."
